Good morning everyone! Since I last posted Elizabeth has gotten a new high chair and is now sitting at the table with mommy and daddy for dinner each night. We decided to get the high chair bc when it came time to eat she would begin to fuss and we would have to take turns eating to passify her. So we thought if she could see us she might not fuss and we could eat in peace. Well, so far so good! Yeah!
We have also been to the ENT doctor for a second opinion on having her little tongue clipped and he felt as though hers was not tight enough to be clipped. As far as speech problems in the future he did not feel that she would have any issues. Mom and Dad were glad to hear this news. No big deal we know but all the same we are happy it did not have to be done.

The past few weeks she has really started to talk and interact with us. We can talk to her and she will coo back and smile. I cannot explain the joy that this gives us when she does this. I can sit for hours and play with her. Sometimes you even get a little laugh. Precious! Also she has slept through the night 5 times over the past week. Mommy really enjoys this new accomplishment :) Last night we started with replacing one feeding with a bottle so she will get use to taking a bottle. She did well. Dad warmed the milk a little and I think that did the trick. In the past she would not take a bottle well so we are hoping that she is learning now to like it. Well I think that is all we have for now. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

This past weekend we had our friends Craig, Jessica and their little girl come up to visit us and to meet Elizabeth for the first time. Addyson was so cute with Elizabeth and loved to tell the kitty cats no no. She would walk over to the cats and say no no like they had been bad. She is adorable. A couple of times when Elizabeth cried Addyson would get a bottle out and take it to her like she was going to feed her. We visited the pool again this weekend and Elizabeth made a splash this time. Well not really but she did get in the pool for the first time. She was a little fussy at first but once she got use to the water she was fine. Also this weekend she found the mirror above her swing and bouncy and loves to look in them and smile. Over the past week or so she has started cooing and really talking it is so much fun to listen to her. Just listening to her makes you happy inside. I can already see a personality shining through. Adam and I cracked up last night while we were walking she was sitting kind of crooked in her seat and every once in a while we would look down and she would have one of her legs propped up on the side of the stroller. She was very comfortable and enjoying the ride:)
Oh I almost forgot that we got our shots on Thursday of last week. There should be a better way to give immunizations to infants. She did ok but it still hurt her and me. I told Adam the new deal was that if I had the baby he had to take them for their shots. He kind of ignored me on that one:) After her shot she did run a temp for a couple of days but nothing to high. Come Saturday she was back to herself again.

Hi everyone! I guess it has been about two weeks since our last post except for a few pictures. Since then our family has been to visit and Elizabeth has started sleeping up to 6 hours at night. Yeah!!! While our family was here I think she got so worn out that she couldn't help but sleep longer. We took her to the pool for the first time but she did not get in. Dad was a little hesitant on that idea so we will wait for a while. Maybe by the end of the summer when she can hold her head up better we will try getting in. We had lots of fun while they were here going to the pool, batting cages and Dave and Busters. Elizabeth wishes that we lived a little closer to all of her cousins so we could see them more often. After everyone left we have just been hanging out and getting back to our normal routine. Yesterday daddy worked with her on pulling the handle on her bouncy that makes it play music. She pulled the handle twice by herself. I do not mean that she reached up and grabbed the handle on her own but we placed her hand on the handle and she pulled. We were proud of course of this little accomplishment. Not much else to tell this week. I will try not to wait so long for the next post.

Oh, Happy Fathers day to all the dads.
Sorry that I missed a post on Friday. I completly forgot about it until today. This past weekend Elizabeth attended her very first birthday party. Even though it was for big girls she was invited and got to visit with our neighbors youngest daughter Emily. We had lots of fun and Elizabeth got all dressed up for the occasion. I could not believe it when I put her dress on her and it was a little snug. We must have had a growth spurt this week bc a few of her little outfits no longer fit. That is ok though bc mommy picked up a couple of dresses this week. Shhhhh don't tell dad though! He thinks we have too many clothes already :) (I told him she should have been a boy) Little girl clothes are just to adorable to leave in the store! We will have to learn to practice self control.

We are excited that our family is coming this coming week. Elizabeth will finally get to meet her family from Mississippi and Florida. So we should have a busy week with lots of fun things to do. I think we may go to the water park one day and maybe hang out by the pool a few days. Hopefully all of this will make her so tired she sleeps through the night. I am sure everyone visiting would like that. Uncle Chip says that he is good with crying babies so we may let him take the night shift :)

Not much else to tell this week. I am sure we will have lots for next week so we will see you bloggers later.

We don't have a lot of news this week. Elizabeth had her 1 month check up which came with a shot. She did wonderful only crying for maybe 30 seconds. Once the nurse handed her to me she stopped crying. I was more worried at first bc she held her breath when the nurse first stuck her. The good news for the day was that she has grown 2 inches in length, 2 pounds in weight and her little head has grown around 2 inches as well. She is average or above average in all the categories. Daddy was so proud to hear that news ( we all know where she gets her big head from) :)
On Saturday we will attend our first birthday party. Our neighbors little girl is turning 7 and they also have a 7 month old. Maybe Emily and Elizabeth and goo and ga ( not sure how to say that) at each other while the big girls play. We also found out this week that our family will be coming this month which means that Elizabeth will get to meet all of her cousins and aunts and uncles and get lots of kisses.

We have been told that we need to set up a blog so everyone can see pictures and stay up to date on the little world of Elizabeth. So here we go.
For everyone who is not up to date Elizabeth was born on May 1, 2008 at 1:00 a.m. weighing 6lbs 14oz and 19.25 long. She made her way into the world by section after putting mommy through 16 hours of labor but every hour was worth it. Since then she has been the center of our universe and has brought so much joy to our life. Just in the past month she has grown and changed so much it is really amazing. She can already roll from her stomach to her back and loves to lay on her side when sleeping in her crib. We are already working on a sleep schedule that is going pretty well. Except when grandparents visit :) They like to hold her a lot and tend to interrup the sleep schedule. That is ok though it only takes a couple of nights of crying for mommy and Elizabeth and we are back to normal. We are still waiting to meet our little cousins from Mississippi and Florida. Not everyone has made it up to see our new addition yet but hopefully will soon. We can't wait for them to meet her. Oh, I guess I should mention that she is the spitting image of her daddy. She has his nose, chin, hair line, and her hair is the color of his beard when he grows it out. I told him we should call her little A.
Well I guess that is enough for the first update. I will try to be diligent with this each week and not get to far behind. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoys our little family blog.
